Nature was the overriding theme of Collina Strada’s S/S 23 show, held at the Brooklyn Greenway in New York, informing the beauty looks as well as the clothes themselves. The hair of the models, sometimes styled in sets of extra-long plaits, was caked in Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay tinted in shades of lavender and moss green.
Hairstylist Evanie Frausto was inspired by nature’s remedies, particularly the sulfur-rich mud found in many of southern Europe’s famous volcanic baths, while flushes of colour were applied to lips and cheeks with washes of real beets.
