Jesse Adler is a multidisciplinary designer and bimolecular scientist, recently graduated from MA Material Futures at Central St Martins, who works at the intersection of design, science, and sustainable innovation. Adler extracts pigments from fungi to explore their potential to reduce, or replace, our dependence on colourants from non-renewable resources, especially in the textile, food, and cosmetic industries. Doing so, her work sheds light on the rich colours, including buttery yellows and deep reds, extracted from nature.
