Up and coming Paris-born, UK-based artist Manon Steyaert explores the ambiguous space between painting and sculpture, with her draped and pleated silicone artworks. Manipulating pastel plastics so the obscure material becomes the canvas, the merging of shiny textures and attractive colours is inviting and playful to the eye. The result lies somewhere between the Fauve movement and fetish gear.
